Dark, disturbing, way too long for what it is and BORING as Hell. This was a trainwreck. I really liked her previous book, THE PUSH, and had hoped this was at least as good. The writing style is again stellar yet the story was a disaster.
This book was in poor taste, raunchy, disjointed. Whitney's 10yr old son is in a coma in the hospital after he went out his bedroom window landing to the ground below; Whitney sits bedside with him and the entire book eludes the why? and how? until the very end and then you're given what actually happened, in a nutshell. I was surprised by the ending but then it was followed by an eye roll.
