My Last Innocent YearMy Last Innocent Year by Daisy Alpert Florin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was such a beautiful read.
Isabel is in her last semester of college at Wilder in NH. She gets involved with a friend and questions if the night was consensual which I gathered was not. This book encompasses that heavy experience and balances Isabel's bridge into her future very well for the reader to follow along and enjoy. It weaves her Jewish background in NYC where her father has an Appetizing store and the death of her mother from cancer, it delves into her relationship with a Professor and gives the reader a good glimpse into the years after college. I really appreciated seeing where Isabel ended up as that gave a good closure to the story as a whole without just being a time capsule of her time at college. This book is about mistakes made; no matter our age we make mistakes and it's by these we become who we are today. I really loved everything about this book!
