The Perfect Stranger by Megan Miranda
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
A slow burn for a thriller and while I prefer fast paced thrillers, this was still a good one.
Leah leaves Boston for a small town; she rents a house in the woods in a small community with an old friend, Emmy. Here Leah has left her journalist career and is working as a high school teacher. Emmy is missing and Leah has secrets; the two storylines steer the reader along finally merging at the end. Miranda is a very atmospheric writer which I like. I don't like her books equally but def an author to follow.
I figured out THE PERFECT STRANGER midway and wasn't surprised by the ending but it was well-done.
