Mrs. England by Stacey Halls
My rating: 2 of 5 stars
I was so looking forward to this as I loved (5 star!) The Lost Orphan but this new novel by Halls fell very flat for me. I kept expecting sinister and more depth and it was basically just a story of a nanny, her charges and the family she works for with a secret thrown in for good measure towards the end. The cover is stunning and again I was thinking sinister but alas, it's a good descriptive story about a young nanny, Ruby, and her job as such set in the early 1900s.
