First 5 star read of the year for me!! Oh this book was wonderful - writing, characters, plot. Meredith hasn't left her house for over 3 years; the reader learns the reason why maybe midway through the novel. Author Alexander has a wonderful way at weaving in heavy issues like mental health, self harm, rape, assault to the plot gently for the reader to digest, process and go forward, with Meredith to a hopeful future/ending.
There is so much to this story and I hope this author keeps writing!!
