Murder in Belgravia by Lynn Brittney
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Reminded me of an Anne Perry book in style but I loved the WWI setting, the characters and overall flow/pace of the story.
Chief Beech forms a task force with the permission of the Commissioner; this group of men and women solve the crime at hand - an aristocrat's wife is suspect to her husband's murder. It's more than just the crime; the reader gets bits of the historical era it's set and journeys around London with the case to seedy parts and learns quite abit about poison and drugs.
I really enjoyed this first in the series and will def read more!
More 3.5 stars than 3.
