THE WHISPERS by Heidi Perks is a good thriller yet very, very! drawn out for a simple plot. Set in England, Grace moves back to Clearwater after being away for 19 years and wants to pick up her childhood friendship with Anna. Anna has moved on and has her own circle of friends now; Grace is a little unhinged. Ah, thrillers. So the women go back and forth with their POVs in the chapters mixed with various mom friends and bits of the past thrown in. It’s an okay read but painfully slow. The ending was expected and that’s that. 📕
