Dear Reader,
There is no knitting shop in Fayetteville, NC. At all. Back in the day ... there were cross stitch shops in town which we enjoyed immensely. Then a few years ago when the needlework shops were all gone, there was a yarn shop called Sunflower Fibers, located in Downtown Historic Fayetteville. That shop is now long gone and sadly, its owner, I learned via their Facebook page, has since passed away. She was very friendly and her shop was very cheerful .. just like a sunflower.
So on our recent 3 generation girls weekend, again we google searched for a yarn shop that might have escaped our radar yet nothing. But I did find a fabric shop other than the generic JoAnns and Hobby Lobby places ... Loving Stitches Quilt Shop is chock full of fabrics and whilst their supplies were vast, they were out of the Little Red Riding Hood panel from Moda that I had to have when I saw their models. They searched the inventory and couldn't locate anymore so thank you, Nancy at the shop!, for surprising me with the very panel in my mail this week. I was beyond excited to receive it. I can't recommend their customer service enough -- check out their website!
Isn't that THE cutest???! I'll share pictures when I have it all sewn up!
