psst ... January, slow down!

It's already mid-January!

I managed to get to the National Gallery of Art for the beautiful Vermeer exhibit. It was so crowded the Sunday afternoon that I went that my pictures are wonky so as not to get all the people in them! The paintings were stunning upclose. I think the art museum is my favorite place to while away the hours. If I could go more often, I would. This exhibit ends January 21st so if you're in Washington, DC, I highly recommend it.

I designed a new knitting pattern, PUDDLE WONDERFUL COWL, which is a cozy knit and inspired by a childhood memory - details in the pattern. It is worked in Blue Sky Fibers Worsted Woolstok colorway Storm Cloud, as main color.

Winter weather has kept the heat running nonstop here. The sunlight over the weekend was a welcome spot for Grace to nap the day away.

Banana muffins were made and devoured a few days back. I have the need to make more. Soon. It's from my great grandmother's recipe of which I treasure.

How is your January going? Hope it's cozy and filled with all good things.
