used book haul and slow knitting

The regional library near me has a used book room that is open for a few hours every Sunday afternoon. I like to pop in there every few weeks and see the latest donations they have for sale. I got a very nice assortment for $3 yesterday! I've started the book on top and really enjoying it.

My Shindig shawl is nearly complete! I must be the slowest knitter - or at least it feels like it sometimes. Plus the stipes takes forever! And see the varying widths of the stripes? Well ... I get interupted and distracted easily. I like it anyway - sure will be a cozy DK weight shawl to wear once colder days come around.

What are YOU reading and knitting? I'd love to know!

  1. Reston Library is having a sale starting tomorrow! I probably donated half the books that will be in the sale - LOL! Right now I'm reading about 25 or more books, but concentrating on "The Night The Lights Went Out" by Karen White. I'm knitting a zillion this - trying to work more on my Kirra shawl/scarf - mosaic knitting!
